A command prompt labeled "please don't close" showed the program's activity and served as a pretty effective progress indicator, too. Bluesoleil saved our converted file to the source folder (one of the Bluesoleil you can't change in this Bluesoleil tool). The MKV file played normally (quite well, actually) in VLC, our default media player. Bluesoleil installs a Bluesoleil icon without asking and leaves a Bluesoleil menu icon behind upon removal. We recommend this program to all users. We've tried lots of freeware image processing tools, and most of them do a decent job.
